Standard appointment – One basic concern or two quick concerns e.g. prescription or referral renewal, general check up, results discussion and cervical screening.
Long Appointment – Complex concern e.g. mental health concern, care planning or multiple items to discuss. Please note that depending on the complexity of the concern and/or the number of concerns to discuss, your doctor may deal with the most pressing concern on the day and request that you rebook to address/attend to additional concerns.
Our reception staff are happy to assist you to determine your appointment needs.
The Doctors endeavor to run to time, however, they cannot always determine when a patient may require more time than they have been allocated due to a pressing health concern or if an urgent concern may present. Where possible your doctor may ask you to return at a later time, but this is not always possible. Your patience is appreciated during these times.
The doctors consulting from our practice require a MINIMUM of 2 hours notice to cancel or change any appointment (excluding Dr Madawala’s Skin Cancer Clinic – two days notice is required and separate fees apply). If the minimum notice has not been given and the appointment cannot be filled your doctor will charge a $50 failure to attend fee. This fee must be paid before any further appointments with your doctor can be made. If the appointment is filled, no fee will be charged.
