General Immunisations
The Doctors at Lavington and Thurgoona offer a wide range of general immunisations, some of which are held on site and some which would require a prescription from your GP.
Please call us on 02 6057 7100 for all general immunisation bookings either with our practice nurses or your GP.
Childhood Immunisations
The Doctors at Lavington and Thurgoona have multiple Nurse Immunisers who administer childhood immunisations. If you wish for a GP to administer the immunisations this can be arranged on request.
Please ensure that you bring your blue immunisation book with you to maintain a copy of the vaccinations given to your child and to allow our nurse to update your child’s records with any vaccinations given elsewhere e.g. hospitals or community health nurses.
See below link for full details on all immunisations for ages 6 weeks to 70+ years.

Travel Health Care
If you are planning to travel in the near future we firstly recommend a check up with your GP. During this consultation your GP will advise you of any potential immunisations you may require for the area you are planning to travel. In some cases your GP may require you to have a pathology test to confirm/test immunity levels.
Once this is completed, your GP will provide you with the necessary prescriptions as we do not hold any travel vaccines on site. Another appointment with your GP is not necessary, we have multiple practice nurses available to administer these vaccines, all you need to do is book an appointment with one of them.
Some particular travel vaccines do we require additional training/qualifications to be administered, in this case you will be advised and pointed in the right direction. For example: Yellow Fever (Stamaril) Vaccination: Providers – Dr David Phelps.
