Dr Sheppard is a highly skilled and experienced General Physician. He was born and raised on a farm near Wangaratta and continues to run the Farm when not consulting. He has a medical degree from Monash University and has also received fellowship from Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1994.
He has worked at Alfred Hospital, Caufield General and Royal Talbot Hospital. He also had early hospital appointments at Wangaratta Base Hospital, Ovens, and King – rehabilitation Beechworth.
Dr Sheppard has also worked at Albury Base Hospital – Rehabilitation, as well as being a locum Staff Specialist for the Victorian Spinal; cord Service at the Austin and Royal Talbot Hospital for 1 year.
He has also worked in private practice in Wangaratta and Albury with spells of locum hospital General Physicians positions in all states of Australia except Northern Territory and ACT.
He then gained Fellowship this time in the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics – Faculty of Pain Medicine in 2003.
Hilton’s Special interests outside of work include: Farming, gardening and mechanical music.
